speechless, you really think "如果要证明别人不对,你就得做出更有力的data"?
what if they are using fake data and you have no opposing data to prove
their hypothesis wrong? and if you think "假的真不了,真的假不了",do we
should trust a real theory based on unreal evidences.
2 examples, they both working with the same big bull.
1, a MIT genius in immunology field fake the flow data (using the same
picture for two experimental conditions, sort of like this), and got
revealed and fired.
2, a previous MIT PI used a wrong mouse model to get a surprising conclusion
published on cell, got accused for faking data and suspended for NIH grants
, several years later, other labs repeat and got the same results, this is
the wrong data interpretation, not fake data, and then she got her research
life back,
I know sometimes we could not distinguish these 2 kinds in biological world,
this is true so we and most of reviewers have to "assume" the data
presented by the authors are real. but the journal should take more
responsibility for these matters.
do you think these gel are real? if not, again, who cared their conclusion is
real?
